Editing

Editing

Editing is a great way to teach students that media is a construction of reality; by piecing a story together through the editing process, students are encouraged to realize how one piece of media can be edited to meet many different visions and perspectives. Editing can be taught using a variety of technologies and techniques. For example, teachers who do not have editing equipment may choose to paper edit student films.

For teachers who do not wish to purchase editing software FORscene is an alternative because it is a "pay as you go" system. FORscene is a web-based video-editing platform, that runs on both PCs and Macs. It allows video to be logged, edited, reviewed and published.
